Less than 48 hours after being sacked as coach of Italian club Napoli, Genarro Gattuso have been announced as the new manager of another Italian clubside Fiorentina. Napoli who had their destiny in their own hands blew away their chance to finish in top four, but their 1-1 draw against Verona on the last day of the round of matches saw Juventus made Champions League football next season after defeating Bologna 4-1.
The 43-year-old who ended the Serie A league on 5th position succeeded Giuseppe Iachini’s who announced he would leave Fiorentina at the end of the season in an open letter on March 21, after his second spell at the club as Fiorentina finished 13th on the log table.
It’s reported the club will offer Gattuso a two year deal, Fiorentina some hours ago posted on their official twitter account with the owner of the club Rocco Commisso speaking about Gattuso, stating he believes “he will help the growth of the club”
Gattuso have also managed AC Milan from 2017-2019. Before joining Napoli from 2019 to 2021.
