In a letter to the EFCC, he claimed that if his plan were to be implemented, even newborn newborns could earn up to N120,000 a day.
He went on to say that if his objective failed in less than a year, he should be condemned to life in prison in a tweet from the official InksNation account.
In June 2020, the Nigerian Stakeholders in Blockchain Technology Association declared InksNation’s supposed crypto currency, Pinkoin, to be a fraud.
The EFCC issued a warrant for Sewanu of InksNation in November 2020, accusing him of committing a N32 million scam while promoting a digital currency known as “Pinkoin.”
Sewanu was also charged with acquiring funds under false pretenses and name-dropping in an advertisement, according to the EFCC.
Omotade-Sparks Amos Sewanu, the creator of InksNation and a Ponzi scheme operator, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. This comes six months after the EFCC issued an arrest warrant for him.
Sewanu was arrested in Sokoto, according to a tweet from the anti-corruption agency on Friday.
