The 33-year-old famous youth activist and Managing Director of Royal African Young Leadership Forum, Bello Shagari has aired his opinion on social media about the Igbos and their history.
Bello Shagari spoke about the horrors suffered by Igbos in the civil war which occurred from 6 July 1967 to January 1970, headed by General Yakubu Gowon to counter the actions of Odumegwu Ojukwu.

In reactions to their current agitations, Bello Shagari advised Nigerians and the government to pave a way for an Igbo Presidency. Bello Shagari said, ‘I’m not making any assertion in this thread to score any political point, but to let it be known that there are non Igbos who understand the plights of Igbos.’
He added, ‘The Igbos have seen the horrors of civil war and have been feeling scorned by the rest of Nigerians. It is time we deliberately start paving way for an Igbo presidency.’
