First Female Fighter Jet Pilot, Kafayat Sanni After Tolulope Arotile

Kafayat Sanni made history on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, when she became the first female fighter pilot in the 55-year history of the Nigerian Air Force.

After becoming the top pilot at the NAF 401 Flight School in Kaduna in 2017, she was sent to the United States to complete the United States Aviation Leadership Program.

She is the first to undergo regular combat training at the Nigerian Defense Academy to be winged for a fixed-wing fighter.
