The cabinet secretary of education George Magoha made it official that grade 4, KCPE and KCSE candidates will report back to school on 12th this coming Monday. This was opposed by several people and one of the parents took
it to the court and this saw suspension of school re-opening temporarily. However, the ministry made a stand on school re-opening raising confusion among the learners and parents.
Education CAS Zack Kinuthia cited that schools will reopen as scheduled by the ministry.
CAS said, “I want to make it clear that schools will be reopened on Monday for grade 4, class 8, and form four students. Those who are saying that the government has no money should tell us why they have opened clubs for persons to get drank.”
“As the Ministry of Education, we are not going to allow every voice to detect what we should do. Our earlier decision of having students in school is set to take place,” He added.
Parents and learners are now confused not knowing whose directive to follow.
