Nigeria Set To Observe 12th June As a Public Holiday

The Nigerian Federal Government has announced to citizens to observe Friday, 12th June as national holiday.

Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the Minister of Interior made the announcement today and was delivered to the public by secretary to the Minister, Georgina Ehuriah. She quoted Aregbesola as congratulating Nigerians for embeding democratic rule in the country as well as reflecting it in tbeir lives.

He praised the all inlusive government and the collective effort made to attain democracy in the country. He added that it is the prayer of government to eradicate the deadly coronavirus and that all must help.

He challenged Nigerians to observe safety protocols such as social distancing, washing hands with soap and water, wearing nose mask’s and proper respiratory practices for these could help prevent further spread of the virus.
