You all know that the major function of the kidneys is to remove metabolic waste products and excess fluid from the body. These waste products and excess fluid are mainly excreted (remove ) through the urine. The production of urine involves highly complex steps of excretion and re-absorption. This process is necessary to maintain a stable balance of your body chemicals.
The vital regulation of the body’s sodium chloride (salt ), potassium, and acid content are performed by the kidneys. The kidneys also produce hormones that affect the function of other organs. One of the examples is that they are some hormones produced by the kidneys which can help regulate blood pressure and control calcium metabolism in the body system.
The kidney is a very vital organ of the body that helps the body to get rid of metabolic waste products as urine. The kidney also does the filtration of the blood before sending it back to the heart. The human kidney does very great work in the body system, they are nobody that can live without kidneys.
Haven knew that they are some foods a lot of People are consuming excessively today without knowing of the Side Effects. They are many kidney diseases we have but time will not allow me to figure them out all.
First of all, know that Kidney disease usually affects both kidneys. If the kidneys’ ability to filter the blood is seriously damaged or affected by the disease, which May accumulate wastes and excess fluid to build up in the body.
They are many ways you can damage your kidney but these 3 habits are very common among us today.
HAVEN KNOWN THAT, AVOID EXCESS INTAKE OF THESE 3 THINGS
Avoid Excess Intake Of Alcohol
Almost young and adults are into this lifestyle today but Don’t know that they are silently killing themselves.
Excess intake of alcohol causes changes in the function of the kidneys and makes them less able to filter the blood. In other words, when you consume alcohol excessively, It weakens your kidney to function very well. Excessive intake of alcohol also affects the ability to regulate fluid and electrolytes in the body. When alcohol dehydrates (dries out) the body, the drying effect can affect the normal function of cells and organs, including the kidneys. Please take note of that.
This alcohol contains some chemicals which are highly harmful to the body and kidney when they are consumed excessively.
AVOID EXCESSIVE SMOKING
This is one of the reasons why some people are suffering from kidney diseases today because of smoking without education on when and how to smoke. The truth is that smoking has It’s health benefits, but shouldn’t be abused or taking excessively.
Do you see it? Excess Smoking can affect medicines used to treat high blood pressure. And Uncontrolled or poorly controlled high blood pressure is a leading cause of kidney disease. Excess Smoking slows the blood flow to important organs like the kidneys and can make kidney disease worse.
Although Smoking in some parts of the country and places in Nigeria like the united state of America, Jos with cold weather conditions is for warmth, excess intake of India herm, cigarette or tobacco contributes to kidney issues. Most especially the African countries, you will see someone after waking up in the morning, the First thing to do is to light a cigarette and start smoking without taking the breakfast and this is very harmful to the kidney and body entirely. People who smoke excessively do experience protein in their urine and this is a symptom of kidney damage.
AVOID EXCESSIVE INTAKE OF SODIUM CHLORIDE
Excessive consumption of sodium salt is very harmful to your kidney, I am not saying you should stop eating salt completely because It also has It’s own health benefits which are important to the body.
Eating too much high salt diet will alter or increase the sodium balance in your body system, which can also lead or causes the kidneys to damage. Because It reduces the function and removes less water resulting in higher blood pressure. This puts a strain on the kidneys which can lead to kidney disease.
Apart from excess intake of salt affecting kidneys, It also affects the human brain By raising the blood pressure which can damage the arteries leading to the brain.
At first, it may cause a slight reduction in the amount of blood reaching the brain. This may lead to dementia (known as vascular dementia).
Please avoid excessive eating of sodium salt because If you continue to eat too much salt then, over time, the damage caused by the extra blood pressure may become so severe and can lead to arteries burst or to Become clogged completely.
