‘Nigeria’s Foreign Reserves Grew From N200m To $9b Before Abacha Died’ – Fmr Aide, Al Mustapha Reveals

According to a former presidential aide to the former head of State, General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, the former head of State should be hailed for what he did for Nigeria.

He claimed that Abacha really stabilized Nigeria’s ailing economy before his demise and he made this known when he spoke at the 22nd commemoration of Abacha’s death in Kano.

He disclosed that the late Sani Abacha saved over $9 billion in foreign reserves for Nigeria before his demise.

“What Abacha has done to Nigeria can’t be forgotten in the annals of history and generations yet unborn.

Abacha came in and found only N200m dollars in the foreign reserve but before his demise was able to revamp the economy and stabilize it to the extent that he saved over $9bn in foreign reserves.
