Resumption update: FG says it will shut down any school that violates covid-19 protocols.

As some states prepare for resumption, it is to be noted that normal procedures should be followed.

Any school that wishes to resume must be cleared and given a go-ahead by the National Universities Commission (NUT).

In the PTF meeting which was held yesterday, September 14th, the minister for state for education Chukwuemaka Nwajiuba said that,

The Ministry of education together with the federal government will shut down any university that violates covid-19 protocols.

Any school that hopes to resume must first make sure all COVID 19 containment measures are put in place for safe reopening of their student. Then the NUC must clear them for resumption after thoroughly examining them. That is the main protocol.

In this light, it is illegal for a university to resume without approval from constituted authorities.

The safety of everyone, especially the children should be a number one priority, it is wrong for an institution to resume when it does not have the capacity to contain coronavirus infection rate; if any surfaces.
