The Delta State University, Delsu Abraka, after a brief Management meeting and deliberation, has reached the conclusion that, every returning student is expected to pay a fee known as the COVID -19 Facility Charge Upgrade, COVID 19 fee.
The information was released yesterday through the SUG Director of information, Emetonjor Friday Maduabuchi.

From the information released yesterday, it was stated that All Undergraduate students are to pay the sum of #5,000, while Postgraduates are to pay the sum of #10,000, as the COVID 19 facility charge upgrade, as stated by the school management.
According to the DOI, the purpose of payment as decided by the University Management, is to enable the School Management plan for the health and safety of the students in the use of halls and to ensure proper precautionary measures are taken in the allocation of students in the halls for the second semester examination.
He said that this is to be done in line with the Federal Ministry of Education and NCDC COVID – 19 guidelines.
Students can only be able to print registration revalidation forms for the 2019/2020 academic sessions from the school website ,after payment has been made.
All returning students have been told to follow these guidelines, so as to ensure safety and also a smooth examination.
