President Muhammadu Buhari will be in Lagos today for the commissioning of one of the biggest infrastructural development in West Africa called the standard gauge rail project.
With a holding capacity of 6000 passengers, this new train station will become the biggest in West Africa. It is Named Mobolaji Johnson Station, in honour of Mobolaji Olifunso Johnson who was the first-ever governor of Lagos State.
Pictures from the train station have emerged online during a final inspection of the project by the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Ameachi and it looks so beautiful.
According to the minister, the Lagos-Ibadan rail project will help the movement of passengers along the ever-busy route. It will also be used to move cargoes from the Apapa seaport, thereby serving as a means of decongestion.
This latest development will be coming barely a few hours after the official unveiling of the first made in Nigeria cell phones, and it shows that the Buhari administration is working.
What do you make of this new rail line?
