The Presidency has acknowledged that there was a robbery attempt near the presidential palace in Abuja at the official residence of the President’s Chief of Staff (CoS), Professor Ibrahim Gambari.
The burglars allegedly tried to break into the house in the early hours of Monday, but were evidently unsuccessful. In a statement released Monday night, Mallam Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, described the CoS as calling the event a “foolish attempt” to break into his residence.
