On Saturday, a viral video was posted on social media about the air crash that killed Ibrahim Attahiru, the chief of army staff, and ten other officers who were killed in an air crash near the Kaduna international airport on Friday evening.
Attahiru was traveling to Kaduna for a passing- out parade for army recruits.
According to the viral video, a man can be seen discussing something about an airplane crash.
The video has received over 300 views and 50 shares since being posted through several Facebook pages.
The unidentified man, seen in the video speaking at a crash scene, describes how two people survived the incident.
The man says nothing in the video about the army chief or the crash site’ s location.
This video was posted by a newsfeed claiming that two people jump out of a plane before it crashed.
IS THE VIDEO RELATED TO ATTAHIRU’ S AND TEN OTHERS’ DEATHS?
The news gathered from multiple news sources revealed that The video was found on the voice TV channel on YouTube. On September 28, 2018, the video was uploaded with the caption:
” Breaking: Complete video of Nigerian Air Force JET Crash in Abuja. “
The full video shows civilians rushing to the crash site and airforce men telling people to back up. In the video, a voice can be heard narrating what happened.
On that same day, a reliable News source released a statement from Twitter of the incident as well as details on how two planes collided in Abuja while rehearsing for the country’ s 50th- anniversary celebration. Later that day, it was announced that a pilot had died in the accident.
In addition, no newspaper has confirmed that anyone survived the plane crash in Kaduna that killed the Chief of Army Staff.
