The pain that most people pass through in life is just too much and most times I feel like crying when I see how the lives young people have wasted which in turn put their family in a sad mood. On April 17, 2021, a popular Yenagoa baker identified as Temple George Dokubo was killed by unknown men at his residence in Opolo Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The mother of the late baker who is identified as Mrs. Diepiriye George broke down in tears as she explains the demise of her son who she said no mother on earth will be able to bear. She said after elections on Saturday, her in-law, Pastor Charles drove to her house and she was expecting to hear good news from him.
While she was expecting to hear the good news, Pastor Charles told her that her son, Temple is dead. On hearing this, she fell on the floor and started rolling on the ground. He told her to get herself back that they are not sure yet, and that he will be going to Bayelsa State to confirm.
On getting to Bayelsa, Temple’s landlord told her in-law that they saw him entering his room with two boys but the following day, they did not see Temple. His landlord said that Temple wakes up early to prepare for work as a baker.
They waited till 2 pm and discovered that Temple was still inside his room, so they knocked at his door but no response. They went to his window and saw through it that she was lying flat inside the restroom. They made an attempt to rush him to the hospital where the doctor pronounced him dead. Temple’s mother said that she saw that bloodstains inside the restroom.
She said those that killed him scattered his room and the doctor said that he was strangled to death. The mother said there was no knife or bullet wound on his body and begged the Government to help them investigate the death of her son.
Mrs.Diepiriye George whose father is late said that her late son promised to support her during his burial, but as it stands now, it is now a double tragedy as both her father and her son are dead.
What a sad story to hear, may God grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss and may his soul rest in peace.
