Chelsea is ready to make a big-money move for their former player Romelu Lukaku this summer.
Owner Roman Abramovich had earlier made him his number one transfer target this summer and they are ready to test Inter Milan’s resolve with a big-money bid.
Chelsea had earlier thought about signing Harry Kane or Erling Haaland who are valued at 200 million pounds and 150 million pounds respectively, but they are going for Lukaku who they see as a cheaper option.
The 28 year old helped Inter Milan win their first scudetto in 11 years. He scored 30 goals in 44 appearances this season with 24 of those goals coming in the serie A.
Meanwhile, Marson Greenwood has withdrawn from England Euro 2020 squad. The Manchester United forward was included in the 33 man squad earlier announced by Gareth Southgate last month.
The 19-year-old withdrew in order to recover fully from an underlying injury he sustained while playing for Manchester United. It was the same injury that kept him out of under 19 championships but United managed it well before he could be available for English premier league and Europa League matches.
The young united forward has become an important player at Manchester United this season. He has scored 17 goals already in his United career in 65 appearances. He managed to score 12 goals this campaign and provided 6 assists in all competitions.
