Army Storms Southeast In Search For IPOB Members.

A coalition of 44 civil societies in the South-East has decried the ongoing unrest in the South-East states of Anambra, Imo, Ebonyi and Abia over the Nigerian Army and the police’s violation of at least 26 communities under the guise of searching for suspected Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) members.

The coalition in a report obtained by SaharaReporters on Wednesday stated that under the excuse of searching for IPOB and its militant arm, Eastern Security Network, the security agencies – notably the army and the police have arrested hundreds of young and taken them away from these communities and their relatives do not know their whereabouts.

Elijah Ayodele Warns PDP & Wike.

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has revealed that the grievances of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State will cause problems in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Primate Ayodele warned that Wike is interested in dominating PDP.

The clergyman, in a statement he forwarded to DAILY POST, urged the opposition party to address these grievances before it gets out of hand.

This is coming barely 10 days after some gunmen attacked Nsukwa Divisional Police Station and killed three officers as well as torching the station.

The Wednesday attack, a Facebook page, Wong Box, said the incident occurred along Otulu Junction, Akwukwu-Igbo, Aniocha North Local Government Area of the state.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Delta Police Command, DSP Edafe, could not confirm the incident to our reporter as of the time of filing the report.
