Igboho Sends Warning To Buhari Over Ndigbo.
Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, (aka Sunday Igboho) has declared support for people of Igbo.
Igboho made this known while reacting to President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet threatening to shock Nigerians who are out to destroy his Government.
“Daily Post” had reported that Nigerians had called for the suspension of Buhari’s account for saying ‘individuals or groups who want to destroy his government will be treated in a language they will not understand.
Following the development, on Wednesday Twitter deleted the comment, saying it violated its rules.
Reacting, Igboho in a post via his Twitter account warned that no attack on Igbos will not be tolerated.
Students Begins Protest In Lagos.
Protesting students of D S Adegbenro Polytechnic, Itori, Ogun State have blocked the Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway.
“Naija News” understands that the students were protesting against the management of the school for not allowing their colleagues to write exams.
It was gathered that the students blocked Both sides of the expressway, and the school gate preventing the members of staff and lecturers from entering.
The protest led to traffic gridlock, leaving so many travellers stranded for hours.
An eyewitness said the students didn’t allow any entrance by anybody, except those who came into the campus early.
According to the students, the management disallowed some of their colleagues from writing the exam on Tuesday for not meeting up to 75 percent attendance.
The Public Relations Officer of the institution, Yinka Adegbite, confirmed the protest to “The Punch”.
Adegbite said the management was making moves to resolve the matter. It was gathered that attempts by the acting Rector to calm the students failed as they shunned his pleas.
Obaseki appoints former lawmaker as Chief of Staff.
Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has appointed Hon. Iyoha Osaigbovo Toni, as his Chief of Staff.
In a statement, Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq., said the appointment takes immediate effect.
Iyoha, who served as the immediate Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters (Edo South), was a member of the Edo State House of Assembly representing Oredo East Constituency, from 2015 to 2019, where he attained the position of Chief Whip.

The Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Reverend Yakubu Pam says that pilgrimage is not for sightseeing but a place for prayers for the president and state governors.
The reverend said in Abuja on Wednesday that the pilgrimage was an opportunity to pray for the country, especially now that it was facing insecurity and economic challenges.
He called on Christians to prepare their minds ahead of the pilgrimage in Jordan so that God would answer their prayers about Nigeria.
Shock Kills Parent Of Abducted Niger Student.
One of the parents of the students abducted from Salihu Tanko Islamiyya School in Tegina town in Rafi Local Government of Niger State has died of shock.
“Naija News” reports that this was disclosed on Wednesday by the owner of the school, Alhaji Abubakar Alhassan.
He said the parent, who fainted when she heard about the abduction, was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Recall that no fewer than two hundred Islamiyya (Arabic) school students were kidnapped by heavily armed men in Tegina.
It was also gathered that one person was shot dead while another was critically injured during the attack which happened on Sunday evening, at about 4:30 pm.
A resident who gave his name as Zayyad Mohammed confirmed to newsmen on a phone conversation that the Salihu Tanko Islamiyya school where the incident took place, was built by a retired Immigration Officer.
Sources noted that the Islamiyya school is not the usual Sangaya boarding Islamic school, but a conventional one where parents send their children on a daily basis for the purpose of acquiring Islamic education.
The Governor Abubakar Bello-led government later disclosed that it had arrested some of the bandits responsible for the abduction of students.
The Deputy Governor of the state, Ahmed Ketso, while speaking on the development on Tuesday said, some of the bandits are in our custody.
