Two young ladies have been rescued from the hands of suspected ritualists who kidnapped them in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. According to Linda Ikeji Blog, the two ladies identified as Praise and Blessing were on their way to a job interview when they entered a bus to convey them to the venue for the interview. Unknown to them, the bus belongs to a group of suspected kidnappers.
Narrating her story, One of the ladies stated that they were taken to a forest that’s not far from Port Harcourt city. The kidnappers asked them to take off their clothes and then snapped their pictures. They then contacted their family and asked for 5 million Naira ransom.
However, after much negotiating, the kidnappers reduced the ransom to N200,000 but threatened to kill them and sell their body parts to ritualists if the ransom is not paid within 24 hours. A social media activist, Israel Joe solicited a donation to secure the release of the girls and within few hours, the money was raised.

The kidnappers finally released the two girls after the ransom was paid. The ladies mentioned that they were lucky to be released because most of the people they met in the forest were killed by the kidnappers.
After their release, the girls were taken to a hospital for treatment as they had been starved and beaten severely.
