Twitter Shuts Down: People React On Instagram After They Couldn’t Access Twitter App Anymore

A lot of Nigerians have taken to Instagram to express their concern, after they realized that the Twitter app is not accessible anymore in Nigeria. It was confirmed that it is only Nigerians who are abroad that are able to use the Twitter app at the moment.

Although, some Nigerians claimed that they can only access the app via the use of VPN. These reactions came in after a Nigerian artiste, Samklef reposted the tweet of a popular Nigerian actor, Beverly Naya on his page. Beverly Naya said in her tweet that she also could not access the Twitter app the normal way, that she had to use VPN to login.

In her words, she said

“Actually can not believe i am using my VPN for Twitter, they’ve actually shut it down.”

A lot of Nigerians reacted to this post and complained of similar issue, attesting to the fact that the Twitter app is currently not functioning in Nigeria.

Well, it looks like the FG has finally taken the steps they wanted to, as they already announced the banning of Twitter in Nigeria earlier.

The issue of the banning of Twitter in Nigeria by the FG, started after one of president Buhari’s tweets was deleted by Twitter authorities. This made the FG announced the ban of the Twitter app in Nigeria.

After this announcement was made, a lot of people took to Twitter to express their concerns over the issue. It is very clear that a lot of youths are not happy with the FG announcement on the banning of the app. This caused a lot of reactions on Twitter.

The FG seems to have finalized the ban, because, the Twitter app is currently not functioning in Nigeria.
