Huge criticism trails president Muhammadu Buhari’s recent tweets regarding the plans to deal with unknown gunmen destroying INEC facilities and other National infrastructures in the southeast.
The Federal minister of state for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo on Tuesday spoke in support of tweet made by Buhari where he threatened to deal with the unknown gunmen.
Some unknown gunmen have been burning down police stations, killing policemen and burning down INEC offices in various parts of the southeast region thereby posing great risks to the conduction of the 2023 General elections.
Addressing the nation in a series of tweet yesterday after receiving a briefing from INEC chairman, the executive president of the federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari says he will shock those carrying out the attacks.
Buhari said they have been given enough time to change their ways but since they are adamant, they will treat them in a language that they will understand.
Reacting to the statement released by Buhari, the minister said the moment Buhari issued the warnings, Nigerians suddenly declared them innocent citizens residing in a particular region. “A huge conspiracy blown wide open” he added.
